Alliance Supports Education Through Scholarship Awards

Alliance Supports Education Through Scholarship Awards

The Alliance Scholarship Program was created in 1996 to help turn the dream of higher education into a reality for the children of Alliance Members. In 2022, the Alliance Scholarship Program presented 5 deserving students with scholarships totaling $9,000. In all, Alliance has honored thousands of exceptional students from across the U.S with awards totalling over $2.8 million.

Having the financial assistance of a scholarship can remove some of the pressures of college from the student and their family. University of California-San Diego graduate and Alliance award recipient Kaylie Fernald said, “Alliance’s assistance gave me greater flexibility and peace of mind when planning my work schedule and made it possible to make my studies top priority.”

The scholarship program, now open to both Alliance Members and their dependents ages 16-28 who enroll as full-time students, presents a $2,000 award to first time recipients pursuing their undergraduate degree. Recipients are selected according to academic performance. Recognizing that a college degree takes a number of years to achieve, Alliance also offers $1,000 renewal scholarships for up to three consecutive years as long as the student maintains at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Alliance Direct Benefits is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping members live better and save more. The Alliance uses the power of the group to negotiate significant savings on a variety of business, lifestyle, and health related benefits for tens of thousands of members nationwide. The deadline for scholarship applications for the next award year is June 15.
