College Scholarships Awarded For 2017
The Alliance Scholarship Program was started in 1996 as a way to assist members and their dependents defray the costs associated with a college education and, with seemingly ever-rising college expenses, that need is even greater today.
The Alliance is proud to announce college scholarship awards to 37 deserving students for the 2017 fall semester totaling $47,000. This brings the total scholarship program awards since inception to more than $2.7 million.
“Investing in education and offering assistance to students who exhibit outstanding scholastic achievement remains a top priority for the Alliance,” explained Board President Dr. Paul Pevsner. Dr. Pevsner went on to say, “Higher education correlates to higher lifetime earnings and the Alliance remains committed to helping our members get the most out of life.”
The Alliance Scholarship Program, the Career Education Grant Program for members interested in a technical vocation, and the Alliance College Guide, an online resource helping students and their parents with information about preparing and applying for college, are all ways in which the Alliance demonstrates their commitment to higher education.
The Alliance is a not-for-profit corporation that uses its group buying power to provide businesses, individuals and families with affordable access to health, travel and education benefits.
