Don’t Miss the Alliance Scholarship Deadline

April 27, 2021

What a difference a pandemic makes. Two years ago, parents, pupils and pundits were asking if a college education was worth the cost. And now, as we climb out from under the fastest economic collapse in history, the answer is a resounding and obvious YES!

College graduates with a bachelor’s degree were less than half as likely to find themselves unemployed in May 2020. That’s still true in April 2021. College graduates also earn more. In the first quarter of 2021, the median salary for college graduates over 25 years-old was almost twice as high as it was for high school graduates.

None of this surprises us at Alliance Direct Benefits. We’ve always believed that a college education pays. That’s why we’ve awarded more than $3 million in scholarships to help members cover the cost of a college education. And we’re just getting started.

Scholarships Now Available for Worthy Students

Scholarships are available to eligible Alliance members and their legal dependents ages 16 to 28. Members with any plan, even our value plan, are eligible to apply (Not yet a member? You can sign up online in minutes and immediately gain access to travel, health, legal and educational benefits).

If you’re already receiving an Alliance Scholarship, don’t forget to apply for a renewal scholarship. Renewal candidates who maintain a 3.5 grade point average are eligible to earn scholarships for up to three consecutive years.

These scholarships can make a difference. Every dollar that you’re awarded is a dollar that you won’t have to spend or borrow for education. Nor, in most cases, will an Alliance Scholarship diminish any other scholarships or grants a student may be receiving towards their education.

Gain Confidence and a Resume that Stands Out from the Crowd

An Alliance Scholarship isn’t just about money. Students report that being awarded a scholarship gives them extra confidence in their abilities. Often, that kind of self-confidence can actually help improve performance in the classroom.

Also, when Alliance Scholarship winners graduate, they can list it under the Awards and Honors heading in their resumes. With so many people competing for entry level positions, scholarships like this can help set you apart.

Don’t miss this year’s deadline

All scholarship applications and transcripts must be received by June 15, 2021. Get your application today and be sure to follow the instructions.
