On October 28, the Alliance was invited to participate in a health care panel during the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) 22nd Annual Business Forecast Conference. The panel, titled “Healthcare: A Boost or Bust for Business?” helped attendees understand federal legislation, as well as bills coming out of the California Legislature, and provided information on what companies can do to prepare.

Alliance participation in the conference was another opportunity for members’ voices to be heard regarding issues that impact small-business owners, the self-employed, and California residents. Taxation, regulatory reform, and the future of California’s economy were some of the topics discussed by several hundred attendees, who were predominantly business owners from across the state.

“VICA thanks the Alliance for Affordable Services for participating in our 22nd Annual Business Forecast Conference,” said VICA President Stuart Waldman. “It is critical that business owners stay informed about the impact of healthcare reform on their companies.”
